Code of Conduct
These rules apply to everyone who uses Kallos. They exist to keep lessons safe, respectful and useful.
Everyone
- Treat others with respect. No bullying, harassment, discrimination or threats.
- Don't share anything sexual, violent, hateful or illegal.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, or use another person's account.
- Don't try to get around Kallos's security, or access information that isn't yours.
- If something worries you, report it, using the button on any lesson or conversation.
Tutors
- Communicate with students only through Kallos. Never share or ask for personal phone numbers, email addresses or social media, and never arrange to meet a student in person.
- Keep lessons professional: a quiet, appropriate space, appropriately dressed, camera on.
- Never record, screenshot or photograph a student. Kallos records lessons where required; you may not make your own copies.
- Don't give or accept gifts or money outside Kallos, and don't arrange lessons privately with a Kallos family.
- Report any safeguarding concern or disclosure to the Designated Safeguarding Lead the same day. Don't investigate it yourself and never promise a student to keep a secret.
- Write up feedback after each lesson, and reply to messages within two working days.
- Keep your DBS Update Service subscription active, and tell us immediately about anything that could affect your suitability to work with children.
Students
- Join lessons on time, ready to learn, somewhere appropriate.
- Don't share your login.
- Don't record lessons yourself.
Parents and guardians
- Help your child follow this code.
- Raise any concern about a lesson or a tutor with us, rather than directly with the tutor outside Kallos.
If the code is broken
We may give a warning, suspend an account, or close it. Where a child's safety may be at risk, we will act under our Safeguarding Policy, which may include contacting the police or local authority.
